Hummus

Hummus is sometimes spelled as houmous / homous / houmus / hummos
Ingredients:
  • 1 large can of of chickpeas or garbanzo beans (wash them)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup  of tahini
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Homous

Put all ingredients in food processor (or blender) and run for 3 minutes.

The hummus should be as smooth as possible. After I took this picture, I ran the processor for another 3 minutes.

Put in a plate and top with olive oil and cumin and a pinch of red spicy paprika. Serve with pita bread. Enjoy!
